From Glacier to Calgary!!! Another beautiful, but long drive. We had a real breakfast this morning, so didn't get started until 9:39am. Glacier is splendid!!! The Sprinter is 1 foot too long and 1 foot too tall to make the entire trip thru the center of Glacier!!! The 16 miles that we traveled next to Lake McDonald were lovely!!! While in the park, I did take a road that kept getting smaller and smaller, so I got great practice backing up (it seemed like a mile.)
No trouble getting thru Customs. I must not look evil or rowdy enough (I'm a bit disappointed about the not rowdy look!!) I'm not sure what the yellow flowers are in the fields, but they are everywhere in Alberta. I saw them first when we crossed into Canada & they are everywhere. Tonight we are in Calgary at another Flying J's. Again I'm in the ladies bathroom posting my blogs!!! I have had several interesting conversations with women who were surprised to see what I was up to. It seems like a pretty safe place to meet people!!

Fantastic scenery! We live in a beautiful spot but Colorado doesn't have an exclusive on great views and cool people. How I wish I were along for the ride!
Wow, great progress! Somehow I expected more meandering (maybe that's MY influence). You're going to be up in Alaska real soon!!! EEEEEAY!
I forgot to tell you that some folks on the cruise visited Prudhoe Bay, up above the Arctic Circle. They made the drive sound like Nebraska - flat, tundra, nothing to see. Except mosquitos. One guy on the bus had a battery operated bug zapper that worked well.
They seemed to enjoy the fact that they did this more than the trip itself, for what that's worth.
I love how Gracie and Red Fred are guarding your breakfast! Wonderful pictures!! Thanks for posting!
What fun to read about your progress and see your great photos! I was worried when I saw the guys swarming over your hood, but it had a happy ending. Bruce lived in Green River for 3 years and hated it, but i'm sure you will always have fond memories of the town. I laughed at Red Fred in the bathtub. Teddybear used to do that, then he couldn't get out. Happy Trails!
Hey Ann! What pretty pictures, glad to see you are having fun and adventures on the way! Things are going well back on the home front, another very busy week but a little calmer at the condo. Melita and I are doing good, she got all the bereavement stuff out and Ive seen some people. You might not be able to find anything when you come back, I got rid of the "stacking" system and organized! Remember to have fun and enjoy the scenery along the way!!
Greetings wayfaring Ann!
You have already covered so much country! Was that really Red Fred in the tub? He needs some meditation. I took in some wild flowers today: a good year for Columbine. I went on a hike that I haven't done for about 20 years. It was just as hard, but, hey, I got to crawl around in the Blue Mist with the 3 toed beast...a little Estes Park lore. I am enjoying your adventure. Keep blogging.
Wow,you are really following my trip!! It is great to hear from you; Merry, and Vicki (I am torn between meandering and "getting there", Kathy, the Wyoming cowboys were great!! I would have been in real trouble without them. Isn't interesting wat attracks men....in Wyoming it seems to be disabled vehicles. Allysa, glad to hear that work is ok. Thanx for organizing my stuff. I will need a lesson when I get home. Any news on your house??? Cindy, thanx for joining me!!! I am listening to the Eckart Tolle book (on tape) "A New World" I think that you will like it.
Love to all of you!!!!
