Today we left the campground, just north of Carmacks,YT and traveled on the Klondike Highway to Dawson City. The road was narrower than the Alaska Highway and we had a detour, but there were no problems. I got to Dawson City in pleanty of time to park in an RV lot in town, set up, walk the dogs and still take myself out to dinner in Dawson City. This is a very cute town. I am trying to post all my pictures from today on a Picasa file so you can look at them if you want, but so far the download time is VERY slow.

Hi Girl,
Sure looks like you're having a good time. These little towns still appear to have a 'frontier' quality and its easy to imagine traveling through this terrain by some non-mechanized method. Wonder what the travelers 130 years ago thought?
I'm so sorry Red Fred got hurt. It's only a toenail but, OUCH! You were wise to wait for the vet. Hope he is much better now.
I've been loving your journal and photos. The animal photos were special! Can't believe you are almost to Alaska!
Found out lastnight that our pool friends Kim and Linda Deason know you and went to your goodbye party. We really like them.
I'm in Ancharage, Alaska. I'm having some lap top issues so I'm in the Public Library checking my email. I am trying to blog, but the words were I am supposed to sign in are either in Chinese or Japanese. Kathy I wish you were here to help translate!!!
