22 From Homer to Kenai

I didn't mean to leave Homer today. In fact I was pretty sure I would stay for at least 4 days...but I left. The weather was dreary and cold, and I am, after all, on vacation...On my way out of town, I stopped at a great Information Center about the wild life in this area. When I was finished, the weather, still wasn't pleasant, so I took myself to a Chinese Buffet, that was very good. In addition to the normal menu items, they had Kim Chi, and a nice variety of Sushi. When I was finished with lunch, the temperature had not improved, so I left for better weather.

I drove to the town of Kenai, but, because I am exploring & like to go to the end of roads...I kept on driving. Kasilof came next, but it was a very protective and guarded area where they use petroleum products for making fertilizer or something, and after I drove past miles of fences and signs saying no passing and do not stop I turned around and drove back to Kenai.
We are staying tonight in Kenai, in an RV Park with water (which I ran out of last night!) electricity, WiFi and a place to dump waist for each of us. It is called Beluga Lookout, but I haven't seen any whales, yet. We are only 80+ miles from Homer. The sun is out and the weather is warm. There needs to be some advantage to living in small quarters on wheels! Leaving and going somewhere different could just be it! Here are some pictures:
