What a beautiful place this is!!! I took myself out to lunch at Lands End restaraunt at the end of the Homer Spit. A friend who used to work at the hospital where I work, stays at this place and eats at this restaurant every chance she gets. Thank-you Cheryl Baddouex ( I still can't spell your last name, sorry!) I had fish and chips with real fresh halibut caught here in Homer. Wow!!! It was great. I sat out on there deck, with all of the other special folks and enjoyed the food, the views and the warmth of the sun. Later, I poked around Homer, went to a Farmers Market & bought some locally made treasures. I went to Safeway...which looks from the outside, pretty marginal, but it is great!!! It has lots more variety than the one in Estes Park, and a killer view from the parking lot!!!.
Ok, ok I was taken advantage of last night & paid $84.00 for one night. I did have a nice shower and enjoyed free YiFi, electricity and water. Tonight we are staying NEXT DOOR for $15.00, now electric or shower or water, but free YiFi from next door!!! I am concentrating on feeling lucky tonight & forgetting about last night. I have my generator on so that the computer battery doesn't quit. Here's some photos.....
