20 Soldotna to Homer

Ok, ok, I have a new favorite place...... We are staying on the Homer Spit (of land) that sticks out into the Kachemak Bay from Homer, AK. We paid $83.00 for one night to stay on the beach with all the hook-ups and a "free" shower, laundry and WiFi!!! It is GREAT!!! The dogs have both been swimming in the warm salt water & loving it.

The drive here from Soldotna was beautiful, too. I took LOTS of pictures, so I'll share a few. I may stay in Homer longer, but at this price, I think we will down scale a bit. Life is JOYFUL, thanx for being with me!
Oh, several of you have asked about how light it is in Alaska in the evenings. I took the first picture last night in Soldotna about 10:45pm. In Anchorage and Dawson City it stays light a lot longer.

Heidi,
You are most welcome. It's hard to choose which picures to post.
